Before joining the team at NBN Television Gavin was Senior Forecaster with The Weather Channel, where he covered some of Australia’s biggest weather disasters.

Gavin has worked in the media for more than 30 years beginning his career as a DJ with some of Australia’s leading radio stations including 2MMM-FM, K-Rock and NEW-FM. Since then he has worked a surf reporter and snow reporter, igniting his passion for weather whilst making the transition into television.

Gavin has travelled extensively and worked as an actor in the USA before returning to television as a sports reporter for Network ESPN and an anchor of a weekly entertainment show for The Movie Network.

Back on home soil, Gavin’s weather audience has grown to include all of NSW via NBN and Southern Cross via the Channel Nine Network. Gavin is now a regular nationally on the afternoon segment titled Chatroom sharing his opinions and experience on the major topics of the day.

The Leaders Leap should be a walk in the park for Gavin who is no stranger to adventure. In 2016 Gavin became the first Australian Tandem para-glider pilot to fly a passenger from the summit of Kilimanjaro.
