Story
Kurt Gidley was a Wests Newcastle junior and a former professional rugby league player at the Newcastle Knights. Kurt is the second most capped player in Knights history, playing 251 games, and captaining the team a record 123 times . Kurt represented NSW in the State of Origin on 12 occasions, Captaining the Blues side in 5 appearances during the 2009 and 2010 series. Kurt also played 12 Tests for Australian during 2007 and 2013. After 15 seasons in the NRL, Kurt and his family headed to the U.K for a two year stint in the English Super League with the Warrington Wolves. He retired from the sport after 17 years and returned to Australia to enter the world of business, bringing his trademark hard work and determination back to the Knights in the role of Business Development Executive.
