Story
Lucy Flemming joined Coal Services in August 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. She was appointed as the Managing Director/CEO of Coal Services in December 2011, becoming the first female Director in the 90-year history of Coal Services and its predecessors. Since then, she has been instrumental in raising the profile of Coal Services and its role in protecting workers and the NSW coal industry.
Lucy faces business challenges every day with a ‘hands on’ approach, yet the Leader’s Leap adds a whole new dimension to meeting challenges head-on.
Dangling from ropes from high above the ground is not for the faint-hearted. While she has zip-lined through the jungles of Thailand, the Leaders Leap marks Lucy’s first attempt at abseiling. Luckily, our Mines Rescue trainers are experts in this field and can give Lucy some pointers before she leaps from the roof!
Coal Services has proudly supported the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service since 2010. It embodies our commitment to giving back to the industry, families and communities in which we operate where safeguarding their health, wellbeing and welfare is important.
